KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man lost his life because he got his truck stuck in a Knox County driveway last week, according to Kentucky State Police.

State Police say 57-year-old Glen Edwards’ pickup became stuck in the driveway belonging to 71-year-old Glenn Powell on Higgins Hollow Road on Wednesday.

Edwards left his truck and walked a short distance to find someone to help him.

He came back with another man and that’s when State Police say he was confronted by Powell, who told them to leave his property.

State Police say Powell went into his home and came back out with a gun.

The man helping Edwards ran off but Edwards stayed.

Powell then shot Edwards in the back, according to investigators.

The other man came back to help Edwards and police say Powell fired at him.

That man returned fire, hitting Powell in the abdomen, according to State Police.

Charges are not expected to be filed against the man.

Powell was taken to the hospital and charges are expected to be filed against him once he recovers.
