Two taken to UK Hospital after being hit by a vehicle

Car hits two

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – In Lexington, two people were taken to the hospital Saturday morning because a car reportedly rammed into them. Police say it happened around 10 AM on Lakeshore Drive near O’Neill’s on Richmond Road.

According to officers, a driver told police she thought she was hitting her brakes, but instead hit the accelerator and rammed into two people in a driveway.

The two people she hit were taken to UK, but officers expect them to survive.

Police also say the three people involved all knew each other so charges likely won’t be filed.
