TONIGHT: Expect showers and thunderstorms throughout the overnight hours, stronger storms will have brief heavy downpours, low temperature of 55 degrees.
SUNDAY: Expect mostly cloudy skies with rain showers all day; high temperature for Sunday day will be 66 degrees.
Overview: A strong cold front has brought cooler temperatures to Kentucky but it put on the brakes and stalled out providing wave after wave of rain showers for the next couple of days. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect until Sunday at 10 PM for ALL of Central and Eastern Kentucky. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route, remember Turn Around Don’t Drown! Flooding will continue to be a concern across the region since the ground is still very saturated from the remnants of Gordon and Florence the past couple of weekends. Flood prone areas should be on notices as showers and storms couple drop a large amounts of precipitation in a short period of time.
