UPDATE: Coroner says man probably died of smoke inhalation in Jackson Co. fire


UPDATE: (9/21/18, 4:15 p.m.) – The Jackson County coroner has identified the victim as Aaron VanWinkle.

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Jackson County coroner says the victim found in the trailer fire Thursday morning was a 30-year-old man.

The coroner says the man probably died of smoke inhalation.

A name has not been released because the family has not been notified.

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Firefighter discover a body inside a trailer that caught fire Thursday morning.

Kentucky State Police say the body was found at the trailer on U.S. 421 after the fire was put out.

State Police say there was no one else at the trailer.

An arson investigator was called to the scene.

State Police say it is standard procedure to have an arson investigator brought in when there is a fatal fire.
