Thriller parade looking for Michael and Ola characters

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Do you have what it takes?! Let’s see your moonwalk!

The Mecca Live Studio and Gallery is seeking Michael Jackson and Ola impersonators who have mastered their moves and can re-create their chemistry for the opening of our Thriller Parade. M.J. and Ola auditioneers will be paired up to perform (act and dance) the opening dance sequence of the video. M.J. auditioneers must also perform a prepared, original Michael Jackson choreography piece of their choice.

Auditions are being held Saturday, September 22 for the characters of Michael and Ola for the annual Thriller parade in downtown Lexington.

The auditions will be from 3-4 p.m. at Artworks located at 522 Patterson Street. Auditions are open to the general public, both for participating and for watching the audition process!

What is required?



Michaels:

  1. Know the Thriller Dance Sequence
  2. Interact and skip along with Ola. (review the speaking portion of the Thriller video when MJ and Ola exit the theater:

MJ-“You were scared, weren’t you.”

Ola- “I wasn’t that scared”

MJ- “Yeah, you were scared.”

(know the verses at the beginning of Thriller) …”It’s after midnight..”

  1. Have another MJ routine or antic that you can present.

 

Olas:

  1. Interact and skip along with MJ.

(review the speaking portion of the Thriller video when MJ and Ola exit the theater:

MJ-“You were scared, weren’t you.”

Ola- “I wasn’t that scared”

MJ- “Yeah, you were scared.”

  1. Scream! and show us your best, “I’m scared of Zombies” face.
