MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Rescue crews have found they believe is the 9 year-old boy who got swept away by floodwaters last week in Morehead. In that week, more than 2,000 people searched for Bryce Combs by land, air, and horseback.
“A lot of people in my classroom and around the school talk about it,” said Landin Crawford. Crawford says he went to school with Combs.
Emergency management says they found the body around noon Sunday morning.
The Rowan County Coroner’s Office, Morehead Police Department and KY Fish and Wildlife have begun a death investigation.
“We are requesting privacy for the family during this difficult time,” said Ronnie Day with Emergency Management.
