CYNTHIANA, Ky. (WTVQ) – High water and strong currents continue to hamper recovery efforts for a fisherman swept away by flood waters in Harrison County last weekend.
Officials say 77-year old Porter Lamb, of Winchester, and a friend were in a fishing tournament in the South Fork Licking River.
They say their boat got too close to Terry Dam and the two men ended up in the water. Lamb’s friend eventually made it safely to shore, but Lamb hasn’t been seen since.
Despite the high water and swift current, recovery teams have still searched along the shore, which has included the use of cadaver dogs.
