UPDATE: Police charge man in illegal dumping of construction materials


UPDATE: (9/12/18, 3:04 p.m.) – Lexington Police have identified the man they say illegally dumped a large amount of construction material on a property.

Police say 38-year-old Jason S. Bennett, of Cynthiana, is charged with criminal littering.

The Lexington Police Department said it appreciated all the tips it received in this case.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is trying to identify a man who illegally dumped construction materials in a field off Russell Cave Road.

According to police, they were contacted by iHeartMedia about a dumping that happened at their radio transmitter site on Russell Cave Road near Huffman Mill Pike on August 1st.

When police checked the surveillance video, they say it showed a man driving a heavy duty pickup truck and trailer leave a large amount of construction debris on the property.

The material included wood paneling, planks, and decorative columns.

Investigators released the surveillance video Tuesday to generate new leads in the case.
