Quiet and dry to start your Tuesday with temperatures in the low 60s. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds through the day with highs staying below average and in the low 70s. Today will be a comfortable day to get outside for a walk. High pressure is sitting to our north and will keep control of our weather through the next few days keeping us mainly dry. Tonight temperatures will be back in the low 60s with mostly cloudy skies and some patchy fog. We’ll hold on to mostly cloudy skies Wednesday with the slight possibility of a pop-up shower. Highs Wednesday will reach into the upper 70s and it will begin to feel muggier. Temperatures will finally climb back over the average by Thursday with highs in the mid 80s. An isolated shower is possible Thursday under partly cloudy skies. A little more sunshine works in Friday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. A few isolated showers are possible Friday. Rain chances will pick-up through the weekend as Hurricane Florence tracks on-shore. Florence will make landfall around the Carolinas Thursday night into Friday morning as a major, category 4 hurricane. Some forecasting models are bringing some of the outer rain bands into Eastern Kentucky by this weekend.
