LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are searching for a man they believe cut a woman during an attempted robbery then, an hour later, attempted to kidnap another woman.
Police say a woman was in the Wal-Mart parking lot off New Circle Road around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when a man approached her, attempted to take her purse, cut her arm with an unknown object and ran away.
According to detectives, the woman was treated at the scene for her injuries.
Police say an hour later, a man matching the same description attempted to kidnap a woman who was walking to her vehicle while on break at an office building at 425 West New Circle Road.
Officials say the woman was able to fight the man off and he ran away.
Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
They say he was last seen wearing a black shirt and gray pants and has a thin build and a “salt and pepper” beard.
