LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are investigating what they say appears to be a home invasion that led to shooting Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the home on Gunn Street around 6:30 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the front yard.
Police say the man’s wife was with him and told them someone broke into the home and shot him.
Police say she told them she was asleep, awoke to the sound of a gunshot and found her husband wounded next to her.
She says a man was in the room and she and her husband started shooting at the man, who ran out.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
There is no word on the condition of the man who was shot.
