LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Lexington Police have arrested a man they say broke into a relative’s home while firing a gun, then barricaded himself inside for hours.
Police say 21-year-old Donald Gooch broke into a home on Thames Drive just before 9 o’clock last night, where two female relatives were staying.
They say neighbors saw him entering the home and called police.
According to police, Gooch also fired a gun while breaking in.
They say they found a shell casing by the back door.
Police say they called the Emergency Response Unit and set a perimeter, while negotiating with Gooch to come out.
They say he eventually he complied and gave himself up.
According to police, no one was injured.
They say Gooch was charged with criminal trespass and a wanton endangerment report was taken.
