LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Lexington Police have arrested a man for assault who they say cut another man’s throat with a knife Monday night on Laredo Drive.
Police say 37-year-old Walid Abbas walked up to that victim unprovoked and cut his throat.
Witnesses say Abbas was intoxicated.
According to police, the victim lost a large amount of blood, but police say the injury was not life-threatening.
Police believe the two men knew each other, but can’t yet say exactly what led up to the assault.
