They say the fire was intentionally started, using a pile of tires outside the building.

They also say someone may have tried to put it out before they arrived, which they say caused it to spread to the building, which sustained minor damage.

Lexington Police have now arrested Denis Sargaev for arson.

They say Sargaev was under the influence of alcohol when he started the fire, leading to a public intoxication charge.

Sargaev was also charged with cultivating marijuana.

Police say the plants were growing right near the back door.

According to his arrest citation, Sargaev works at Samara Auto Repair, a different auto repair shop in Lexington.
