The sheriff’s office says Mary Carter is accused of hitting and killing an Amish man in a buggy after crashing into him with her SUV.

CRAB ORCHARD, Ky. (WTVQ)- We now know the name of the Amish man, killed in a buggy accident in Lincoln County.

The coroner says the victim was 52-year-old Bruce Troyer and the SUV driver is 64-year-old Mary Carter.

Deputies say Carter hit the buggy from behind, throwing the man out.

CRAB ORCHARD, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Lincoln County sheriff says an Amish man was hit and killed in his buggy and the person who hit him is being charged with DUI.

The sheriff says the crash happened Wednesday around noon on Highway 39 north. He says the person who hit the Amish man was driving an SUV.

The horse was located up the road, but officials are not aware of its condition.
