LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have arrested a man say they assaulted another man with a metal pipe Monday night in downtown Lexington.
Police have arrested 54-year-old Myron Foster for second degree assault.
They say a man flagged them down around 11:30 Monday night in front of police headquarters on Main Street, saying he had just been assaulted.
According to the victim, he had been walking downtown when a man walked up to him and hit him in the head with a pipe.
Police say they don’t know the relationship between the two men, if any.
According to police, the victim was taken to the hospital, but his injury wasn’t life-threatening.
Police say they searched the area and found a suspect matching the description given by the victim.
That suspect was Myron Foster.
They also say witnesses confirmed they had seen Foster in the same area earlier, holding a metal pipe.
