5.7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s Disease. The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Since 1989, we have mobilized thousands of people to join the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease, the Nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. We provide a 24-hour helpline, support groups, education programs, research, Trial Match, and safety services for Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients. We also lead local, state, and national advocacy efforts.
The 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on August 25 at the Courthouse Plaza. Registration will open at 9:00am.
The goal for the Lexington Walk to End Alzheimer’s this year is to raise $275,000, and host 2,000 participants. There is no registration fee or fundraising minimum to participate.
