Man arrested for home invasion in Laurel County


LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Two teens were home when a man reportedly broke into their home Saturday afternoon in Laurel County.

John Collins, 33, is accused of invading the home off Blackberry Lane before 1 p.m.

According to deputies, the two teens home at the time called 911.

A boy hid upstairs and a 14-year-old girl hid in a closet downstairs.

Deputies say collins was “very much under the influence of some type of drug”.

He reportedly told deputies he was running from people who were chasing him.
