UPDATE: One person airlifted, one person dead after crash on US 25

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- We now know the name of the person who was killed in a two-car crash on US 25 in London.

Deputies say 62-year-old Richard McFadden was sitting in the back seat of a Jeep during the crash. McFadden was taken to the St. Joseph Hospital in London where he was pronounced dead.

The sheriff says 38-year-old Jonathan Anderson was driving a red Mitsubishi and attempted to make a left turn from US 25 onto Fariston Road when he collided with a blue Jeep. Anderson was airlifted to UK Hospital with serious injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies say the driver of the Jeep was 43-year-old Shonda Vanover. The passenger in the front seat was 69-year-old Barbara Lisowe. Both were taken to Baptist Healthcare Hospital for treatment.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff says that one person is dead from the crash that closed US 25 for almost two hours Thursday.

We will continue to update you as we receive more information.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says US 25 is closed north and southbound after a multiple vehicle crash where serious injuries are being reported.

The sheriff says the road will be closed for up to two hours. This is approximately five miles south of London on US 25.

The sheriff asks for people to avoid this area and to find an alternate route to London and Corbin if possible.
