UPDATE: (8/2/18, 3:20 P.M.) – Kentucky Utilities reports power has been restored to all customers.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky Utilities is reporting a large outage in Lexington.
According to Kentucky Utilities, 11,760 customers are without power in neighborhoods in the areas of Tates Creek Road and Alumni Drive.
Traffic lights are out and Lexington police are directing traffic at several intersections in the area.
Kentucky Utilities says the outage was caused by an equipment issue at a substation.
Kentucky Utilities says power is expected to be restored to most customers by 5:30 p.m.
