Laurel County man arrested for assaulting officer

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Deputies respond to complaint of man causing a disturbance and arrest him for assault.. 

39 year-old Robert Kazee of Foster Heights, Ky. was arrested a little before 4 PM of Monday on Green Acres Road.

The complaint was of Kazee causing a disturbance while walking down the road and screaming.

Kazee was told he was under arrest by the deputy who had arrived on scene.

Instead of complying with the deputy, Kazee took of his shirt and began to fight with the deputy.

The deputy was able to subdue Kazee and arrest him.

While in route to the jail, Kazee started kicking the windows of the cruiser, which forced the deputy to stop and subdue Kazee.

Kazee assaulted the deputy at this time as well as another officer.

Kazee is charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, menacing, and 2 counts of assault on a police officer.

He was being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.
