RUSSELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officers trying to take five people into custody for arrest warrants at a Russell County home stumbled upon a meth lab.
The Russell County Sheriff’s Office says the active meth lab was found Thursday and crews returned to the home near Jamestown around 4 a.m. with a search warrant.
The sheriff says the South Russell Volunteer Fire department and technicians certified to cleanup meth labs decontaminated the home and the five people who were in the home.
After going through the decontamination process, 32-year-old Cody Murray, 32-year-old Elisha Polston, 28-year-old Rachel Tarry, 33-year-old Shane Mullins and 22-year-old Justin Gillock were all arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
All five suspects were booked into the Russell County Detention Center.
