UPDATE: Police investigate fatal shooting in Bowling Green



The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating an overnight homicide.

At 10:37 p.m. Wednesday a woman called BGPD dispatch to report someone had been shot near 2116 Rockcreek Drive.

Officers found the victim, 27-year-old Nevander S. Tardy, with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene and his body was transferred to Louisville for an autopsy.

Residents of the area told police they heard a confrontation just prior to hearing gun shots.

Detectives are searching the area for anyone who may know anything related to the shooting.

A neighbor told the station the victim was dead before ambulances arrived.

Another neighbor reported hearing six gunshots.
