UPDATE: We now know the condition of the other driver involved in the wreck in Rowan County Thursday.
Troopers say 63-year-old Patricia Derrickson was traveling north when she crossed over the center line and hit Marvin Black’s car. Derrickson was flown to UK Hospital and is in critical condition.
ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An elderly man is dead following a crash in Rowan County Thursday.
According to the Rowan County Coroner’s Office, 87-year-old Marvin Black was driving his pickup on KY 801 North near Blue Bank Road around 8:30 a.m. when he was hit head-on by a car.
Black was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner says Black was from Rowan County.
There is no word on the condition of the other driver.
Kentucky State Police and the Rowan County Coroner’s Office are investigating the accident.
