LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – After August, Lexington will have one less Walmart store.
The company has confirmed to ABC 36 that it will be closing the Richmond Road location by August 10.
A company spokesperson tells the Herald-Leader newspaper about 200 associates were told about the closure Wednesday morning.
She tells the newspaper the employees will be paid through September 14 and will have the chance to transfer to other Walmart or Sam’s Club stores in the area.
Walmart will also close three stores in Louisville.
