UPDATE: US 27 South back open after crash


UPDATE: NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says US 27 South is now back open after the crash that happened around 5 p.m.

UPDATE: NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- Nicholasville Police say a woman has potential life threatening injuries after witnesses told police a white truck with a trailer attached sped through a stop light hitting another car.

Police say the woman in the car that was hit was taken to the hospital, but her conditions are unknown.

US 27 South is still closed, they hope to have it re-opened by 8 p.m.

UPDATE: NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)-  Nicholasville Police says the collision reconstruction team is on scene and the south-bound lane will be shut down for at least another hour and a half.

Nicholasville Police asks drivers to use US 68 or another alternate route. KY 169 from US 68 is moving slow.

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- A two-car crash has shut down the south-bound lane of Keene Road in Nicholasville, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

KYTC says the road will be blocked for an hour.

South-bound traffic is being re-directed to US 27 onto S. Main Street.
