Happy Independence Day Kentucky! It’s going to be a very HOT and HUMID day, be sure to stay hydrated if you’re getting out for the festivities.  A Heat Advisory has been issued for the entire viewing area through 8PM tonight.  Temperatures will be climbing into the mid 90s this afternoon with heat index values near 105 degrees.  On the positive side of things, the rain and thunderstorm chance will be very minimal this afternoon.  Most of us will stay dry for the fireworks but we can’t rule an isolated thunderstorm so it’s not a bad idea to have the rain gear on standby.

Today:  Mostly sunny with 10% chance for showers/thunderstorms and a high near 95 degrees.
