HAZARD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Witness statements and surveillance video led to the arrest of a man Tuesday in an attempted kidnapping case, according to Hazard Police.
Investigators say Keith Reavis, of Hyden, is accused of grabbing a girl by her arm to try to kidnap her at Murphy USA gas station in Hazard.
Police say the girl screamed and Reavis ran off. Investigators say they found a car matching the girl’s description in a Walmart parking lot not far from the gas station. They say that car belonged to Reavis. They later tracked him down and say he denied all the allegations against him.
Investigators say the witness accounts and surveillance video from the scene led them to arrest Reavis and charge him with attempted kidnapping of a minor.
He was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
