It has been a hot and humid day with temperatures warming around the mid 80s with plenty of sunshine. We mainly stayed dry through most of the day, but rain and storms will be expected through the remainder of the evening. Storms will be isolated to scattered in natures with heavy rain and lightning as well as gusty winds at times. Some storms will be strong to isolated severe, but a lot of the activity will die down with the setting sun and the loss of daytime heating. Some showers are still possible overnight with a better chance arriving closer to dawn with lows in the upper 60s. Expect a few showers and storms around the Monday morning commute that could produce some heavy rain once again. Temperatures Monday will top out in the low to mid 80s under mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain and storms. Showers and storms are still possible Tuesday and Wednesday with highs warming into the mid to upper 80s with feels like temperatures in the mid 90s. Rain chances drop off Thursday through the weekend, but the heat will be the big factor. Temperatures Thursday and Friday will start out in the low to mid 90s with a heat index in the upper 90s to 100 degrees. By the weekend, highs will climb into the mid to upper 90s with a heat index exceeding 100 degrees.
