LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Laurel County man who was indicted for murder last week is now in jail.
According to the Laurel County Detention Center, 53-year-old Larry Dean Hensley was taken into custody on Wednesday around 2:30 p.m.
Hensley was originally charged with knowingly abusing or neglecting an adult back in February after police were called to the home of Lue Faye Hensley for a welfare check.
According to the Sentinel-Echo, Lue Faye Hensley is Larry Hensley’s mother, and she died a month later from what the coroner says was death by homicide due to neglect.
Hensley was released on bond.
On Friday, a Laurel County grand jury indicted Hensley for murder.
Kentucky State Police say they were looking for Hensley after he failed to show up for the indictment.
He is currently booked in the Laurel County Correctional Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
