PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department says someone is calling people claiming to be a sheriff’s deputy, telling them there’s a warrant out for their arrest.
The caller then says they can avoid arrest by paying money with their credit card. Don’t fall for it. It’s a scam.
Investigators say anyone who receives this call should write down the phone number if they have caller ID, then report it to the Prestonsburg office of the Kentucky Attorney General at 606-889-1821.
