LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lincoln County Coroner’s Office confirms remains found in June are that of a Lincoln County woman who was reported missing.
The coroner says he identified the remains as April Neikirk’s through dental records.
He says the cause of death has not be determined.
Kentucky State Police say Neikirk was last seen in Lincoln County back on April 25th.
Her family reported her missing on May 11th.
On June 5, her remains were discovered off Ike Singleton Road.
Police have arrested 45-year-old Otha G. Wesley and charged him with murder in connection to Neikirk’s death.
He is also charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
