UPDATE: Police investigating fatal shooting in Lee County

Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Lee County on Kentucky 52.


UPDATE: (6/11/18 5:56 p.m.) — A suspect is arrested on weapon charges, but State Police also believe 56-year-old Michael Hensley to be the alleged shooter in Saturday’s shooting.

KSP confirms the man killed was 50-year-old Jeffrey Kincaid.

They say Kincaid was found dead in Hensley’s residence off Highway-52 Saturday morning.

Hensley is currently at the Three Forks Regional Jail and is only charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.

LEE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Lee County.

According to KSP, it happened on Kentucky 52, West of Beatyville Saturday morning around 11:30.

Investigators think there was a fight at a home when a man was shot and killed. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.

Troopers say they questioned one person who has been detained, but no one has been arrested and no charges have been filed.
