Police: Lexington woman robbed, stabbed in her driveway

A woman was robbed and stabbed while getting out of her vehicle Monday morning, according to Lexington Police.


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman in the Andover Hills neighborhood was robbed and stabbed after pulling into her driveway Monday morning, according to Lexington Police.

They say a man dressed in all black, wearing a ski mask approached the woman from behind and told her to give him her belongings.

The woman told police the man took credit cards and cash out of her wallet. That’s when police say the man stabbed her three times.

Officials believe the woman was stabbed with a knife.

Investigators say she was able to run away from the scene and tell police the description of the suspect.

Police say she was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Lexington Police officials are still looking for the suspect.

Investigators are talking to people in the area to see if anyone has surveillance cameras. rpo
