LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Disbarred Eastern Kentucky attorney Eric C. Conn has reached a plea deal with prosecutors on all charges against him, according to a court motion reported by the Lexington Herald-Leader.
The motion did not include details of the plea deal, according to the report. Conn is scheduled to appear before a federal judge June 4, 2018.
Conn lived in Pikeville and had an office in Floyd County. He was one of the leading social security disability lawyers in the country until he pleaded guilty last year to his role in a conspiracy to defraud the social security system out of millions of dollars.
He pleaded guilty last year and was on home incarceration leading up to his scheduled sentencing when he fled the country to Mexico. He was eventually captured in Honduras and returned to Kentucky to face a new round of escape-related charges and other offenses.
