LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A two vehicle, serious injury crash sends three to the hospital including an infant.
Laurel County deputies are still investigating the crash that happened on KY 30 about 4 miles north of London on Tuesday, May 22 at 12:20 PM.
Reports say a Nissan sedan was traveling westbound on KY 30 and attempted to pass another vehicle while a Dodge pickup truck was approaching in the eastbound lane.
Both the car and pickup swerved onto the shoulder apparently to avoid collision and hit head on.
24 year-old Emma Ronquillo of London was driving the Nissan and had to be extracted from the vehicle.
She was airlifted to UT Hospital Knoxville with serious injuries.
A seven-month-old infant in the car, who was in an infant child safety seat, was transported by ambulance to UK pediatrics for treatment.
39 year-old Steven Craig Collier of London was driving the pickup truck and was transported via personal vehicle to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment.
Assisting at the scene of the crash was East Bernstadt volunteer fire department, London Laurel rescue squad, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and Air Methods helicopter.
