SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Pulaski County deputy jailer is out of a job and behind bars following a traffic stop Sunday.
According to Somerset Police, 27-year-old Sheila Keith’s vehicle was pulled over in Somerset after she failed to use a turn signal.
Police say there was a man and a juvenile in the car with her.
Officers arrested the man, identified as James Jones, for outstanding warrants and public intoxication.
Police say they also learned the juvenile had a pick-up order and she was taken into custody.
Police then searched Keith’s car and say they found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, scales and money.
Keith was then arrested and charged with drug trafficking, unlawful transaction with a minor and other charges.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says Keith has resigned from her job.
