We feel short of fell just a degree or two short of seeing record highs in some locations, but it was still hot and muggy. It’s been breezy once again, but at least we’ve been seeing more sunshine for Mother’s Day. A few clouds will build in tonight with a chance for an isolated shower/storm or two. Lows tonight will settle in the upper 60s. We’ll see the potential for near record highs once again Monday with a high of 90 degrees and heat indices nearing the mid 90s. A stationary front is still positioned to our north and has moved north just slightly, which is continuing to bring in the unseasonably warm temperatures. More sunshine is expected Monday with isolated chances for rain and storms generally north of I-64 and toward the evening. We will see another slight chance for rain Tuesday with increasing clouds and highs in the upper 80s to possibly 90 once again. Feels like temperatures will still be in the low 90s. Rain and storm chances increase Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with highs in the low to mid 80s. Temperatures will settle around 80 Saturday with a continued chance for showers and storms.
