More sunshine today has helped temperatures to warm into the upper 70s. There is a line of showers and storms that will be moving through the viewing area this evening thanks to a cold front. Some storms along the line might be strong to severe with gusty wind being the main concern. Heavy downpours are also possible. Rain and storms activity will exit the viewing area before midnight leaving us with mainly dry weather to start your Monday. Temperatures tonight will settle into the mid 50s with decreasing clouds. More sunshine will move in Monday with highs staying slightly cooler thanks to the cold front. High temperatures Monday will settle around 70 with a northerly breeze. There is a slight chance for spotty showers Monday and potentially Tuesday. We’ll see more sunshine Tuesday with highs in the low 70s. We’ll warm back around 80 Wednesday with increasing clouds and a chance for showers and storms during the overnight. Showers and storms are likely Thursday with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Severe weather is not expected at this time. Isolated showers are possible Friday with highs around 80 degrees and partly cloudy skies. Isolated showers are also possible Saturday with highs in the mid 80s. Mother’s Day looks to be mainly dry right now with sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Rain will arrive late Sunday into Monday.
