LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The overdose-reversing drug Narcan can be the difference between life and death for someone, but the person administering it, has to know how to properly use it.
That’s why the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department hosted a class Monday night to teach people about the drug and how to administer it.
Some of the people in the class say it’s a skill they might need.
“I know a friend that needs help, and needs it real bad, and I don’t want to see anything bad happen to him. I’m just hoping that they will take the time to accept this program for what it is and get the help they need.”
Everyone in the class took home a free Narcan kit.
