Boyle County inmate briefly escaped, is recaptured overnight


DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police say Kenneth Bolin escaped from a Boyle County detention facility after stealing an officer’s car and was recaptured shortly after.

Police say Bolin was a minimum-security inmate at North Point Training Center in Boyle County.

According to police, around 1:30 a.m., Bolin overpowered an officer, stole his keys, and drove off in his car.

Bolin was recaptured about 45 minutes later by Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies.

According to police, no officers were injured by Bolin.
