LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Centrepointe is now City Center.
The Webb Companies, one of the developers of the CentrePointe project, made the announcement Thursday.
The announcement comes ahead of a planned “topping off” ceremony at the site, as crews put the highest beam in place on the project’s office tower.
Dudley Webb, of the Webb Companies, says they decided on the name change after Marriott Hotels designated the city block as one of its “City Centers.”
The Webb Companies also says the two hotels being built on the site will be called the “Lexington Marriott City Center” and the “Residence Inn Lexington City Center.”
The three levels of penthouse residences in the twelve‐story, 200,000 square foot office tower will be called “The Penthouses at City Center,” according to Webb.
The project is a joint venture of Greer Companies, The Webb Companies and the Rosenberg family, all of Lexington.
The Webb Companies says the total project cost, when completed next year, will exceed $200,000,000.00.
