The Russell County Coroner’s Office confirms that a body found in Lake Cumberland over the weekend is that of 60-year-old Danny Hatter, of Liberty, who was reported missing in early March.
The coroner says the preliminary cause of death is drowning.
RUSSELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Russell County Sheriff’s Department says a body pulled from Lake Cumberland over the weekend may be that of a man reported missing last month.
Authorities say the body was found by a maintenance worker for a private boat dock in the Scotts Chapel community on Sunday at around 10 p.m.
The sheriff says the body was found relatively close to where a pickup truck belonging to a missing man was found on March 31st.
The man’s family in Casey County reported him missing in early March.
The body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy and positive identification.
