Authorities tell the Times-Tribune that an incendiary device was found behind Tractor Supply in Williamsburg Friday morning.
The newspaper reports employees arrived at work shortly before 5 a.m. and smelled smoke and saw crates on fire.
Authorities say the device was set up on a timer to ignite an accelerant in an attempt to burn the building.
Investigators say they do have a person of interest.
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A road is shut down in Williamsbug as police investigate a suspicious device.
According the Williamsburg police, Penny Lane near Tractor Supply was closed after a device was spotted at around 5 a.m. near the store.
The Kentucky State Police Bomb Squad and ATF officials are investigating.
Authorities are telling people to avoid the area.
