MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say the car belonging to one of the victims of a triple shooting in Martin County has been found.
Amber Lockard was found shot off KY 292 near the Pike/Martin County line on Friday, along with 20-year-old Micah Sammons and 26-year-old Dereck James.
Sammons and James were pronounced dead at the scene.
Lockard was taken to Pikeville Medical Center. She was taken off life support and died on Tuesday.
Kentucky State Police say Lockard’s family told investigators that her car was missing.
It was entered into the National Crime Information Center and on Wednesday, State Police announced that Lockard’s car was found in Williamson, West Virginia.
Police say they are not sure if the disappearance of Lockard’s car is connected to the triple murder.
