Man killed in fiery crash in Perry County identified

PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police have identified the man killed in a fiery three-vehicle crash in Perry County last week.

Troopers say 44-year-old Brent Collins, of Berea, was attempting to pass a truck when he struck a Chevrolet Tahoe head-on traveling in the other direction on the Hal Rogers Parkway on Friday at around 6 p.m.

The collision knocked Collins’ Toyota Corolla into the truck.

Collins’ car burst into flames.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to troopers.
