LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- For a fourth year, UK Athletics has partnered with Maker’s Mark® and Keeneland with a goal of raising $2 million for the center and they are nearly there.
So far, more than $1.5 million has been raised for the Center for Academic and Tutorial Services (CATS).
A fourth commemorative Maker’s Mark bottle will go on sale throughout Kentucky on Friday, April 6 and proceeds will benefit CATS.
This bottle is the fourth in a series of five bottles.
This year’s bottle celebrates UK’s 1998 men’s basketball national championship team.
Players from the ’98 team will autograph bottles at the Keeneland Race Course’s Keene Barn on the morning of Friday, April 13.
Another bottle will be released next year to complete the five-bottle series, which will continue to benefit CATS.
This partnership challenges other companies to raise enough to match the $2 million goal.
Companies or groups interested in participating in the challenge are asked to contact the UK Athletics office.
The ticketing process has changed compared to previous years.
If you will to attend, you must create an online account and get a ticket.
The tickets are free and will be available online at 8:30 AM on Monday, April 9.
