LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- If you’re trying to catch a plane Wednesday, check on your flight before you leave home.

Snow here and across the northeast is to blame for several delays and cancellations at the bluegrass airport.

Flights to and from Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C. have all been cancelled.

A Garrard County father says he left an extra hour early Wednesday to drive his daughter to the airport.

“We watched the weather last night. She’s flying Delta today so we checked the Delta app to see if it was on time. We checked it again this morning,” Scott Shinn said.

At the time, his daughter, Sami’s, flight back to college in Missouri, by way of Atlanta, was just ten minutes delayed.
