GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- As of March 25, the Garrard County Animal Shelter will be 500 days euthanasia free.
Since 2017, the shelter has cared for 737 animals, some coming from four hoarding cases.
The shelter has been operating at or above capacity for the majority of 2017 and 2018 is looking to follow a similar trend.
The Garrard County Animal Shelter will be open on Saturday, March 24 from 8 AM to 4 PM.
In addition to finding a furry friend, you’ll also be able to buy Girl Scout cookies from local troops.
The shelter is working to place animals in loving, forever homes.
Fundraising for new kennels is also a must considering many of the shelters kennels are no longer safe.
