Fatal crash in Morehead won’t result in charges

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ)- A fatal crash in Morehead will not result in charges for the driver.

The coroner says 48-year-old Daniel Collins was walking on Femingsburg Road around 6 a.m. nar the BP McDonald’s when he crossed in front of a Ford Mustang.

The coroner says the car had the right of way so the driver likely won’t face charges.

The preliminary investigation shows Collins could have had alcohol in his system at the time.
